Out of Car, Out of Body

I'll try to relate this as it happened, without any personal weights or emphasis. Personally, I would like someone to tell me what happened (smile).

I was driving on a road, late at night. The last conscious act was to glance at my speedometer and realize that I was going too fast for a corner that was approaching. The last feeling was of the car being airborne.

Suddenly, I was being escorted by to people (one on each side). Everything was either blurred or a cloudy dark. Kind of a dark fog. The people escorting me were both in white. One particular thing on this is that I recall that none of our feet were moving, almost like we were drifting at a steady pace towards a group of people ahead. Off to my left was an elderly lady sitting in a wheelchair, and front left was a sun like light (although in a fog).

As we neared the group of people, I felt relaxed and was kind of looking forward to getting to them (no fear). But before we reached them, and before I could even see who they were, I heard a voice say "No - Not Yet". With those words I felt like a hammer hit my chest and I was propelled backwards.

Next thing I know, I am laying face down in a farmers field. The car had rolled in the air and landed on a fence. Judging from the buckled driver side door, I was thrown as the car flipped.

In so much as my head hit nothing prior to being expelled from the car, I cannot explain how my last thought was prior to the car even beginning to roll. It was like my brain just decided to turn off as soon as I realized I was not going to make the corner and was airborne.
