Floating Balloons
Ok. I have told this story to friends in the past and most do not believe me. It is not of any particular concern to me whether you believe my story or not. I just tell the story as it happened and the rest is your decision.
It happened the day after my 11th birthday after I had awoken from a full night's sleep. Laying in my bed, I gazed at the two birthday balloons which were floating on my bedroom ceiling. I felt a presence in my room and was convinced that I was not alone. The presence felt young to me and I gave it the name of "Chris". I began talking with Chris and inquiring into where he came from, what he was doing here, and if he would let me see him or in some way confirm his existence.
After what seemed to be a good thirty minutes into the intuitive conversation, I asked him to move the balloons, which were sitting still in the ceiling's opposite corner, to the opposite side of the room. My ceiling fan was on low, so there was a slight air flow in the room that did not do more than jiggle the balloons in the corner. I was not very surprised when the balloons slowly but steadily made their way to the corner I requested.
I remember thinking that I should feel frightened or afraid of this unknown force guiding my balloons, but strangely I felt a sense of well being and calm or mellowness. As my requests continued, so did the responses. Everywhere I asked Chris to move the balloons, he did, and he would also vary the height at which the balloon floated upon my requests. I new the situation was outside of many normal experiences, but I was not anxious nor did I feel threatened like I thought I would if I ever found myself tapped into the presence of a ghost or spirit.
The experience ended when my mom began calling for me to breakfast. Although I ended up telling her the story, it was not until years later when I did not care what people had to say about it.
